Re: Groceries

About $100/week. Sometimes it's more, sometimes less. That's for 2 adults & 1 child.

I honestly have no idea since I buy food at S&S, BJ's & Target. obviously BJ's is only 1x a month and in bulk, so I have no clue what it breaks down to in total per week.

Re: Groceries

well, we spend about $150-180 a week for 2 people....

I think it's important to factor in how many meals a person eats out.... DH and I cook EVERYTHING ourselves... we bring our lunches / drinks to work, and cook every dinner. we seldom eat out... yet we eat well...

hence our bill being so nuts....Chat Icon

I try to do a Peapod of $150 every two weeks, so I guess $75-80 week.

Re: Groceries

2 people - approx. $90 week.

We eat at home most nights and we both bring lunch most days.

ETA: We buy the dog/cat food at Petco and the vet so I don't count them. If I did it would be $50/month for the dog and $60/month for the cat.

For three of us, on average, 125 bucks. That's including BJs trips for paper towels, etc.

Same here - my DH always says I spend too much.

ETA: We rarely order in or go out to eat - maybe twice a month and we always bag our lunches.

Re: Groceries

For two of us each week, it's about $70-$90. It is occasionally more on the days we buy brita filters, or combat discs, or really expensive things like that. But it's between $70 and $90 when it is just food items.

We do too (bag lunches) and it costs money to do that. But the extra cost for sandwiches and fruit is way less than if you bought lunch out every day.
