Groceries
Not sure if this is the correct board, but I am just wondering how much everyone spends on groceries per month.
I tried to add a poll but somehow I messed it up, so any responses would be appreciated!

I would have to say probably about $300 per month. We go shopping every Sunday. Some weeks it might be around $120. This week it was only around $50. We've been trying to strictly buy only what we need- no impulse buys.

It is usually $80/week with one week being about $100, so I guess it adds up to $300+, which is crazy because I don't know how we eat that much!

$50-$60/month at BJs
$120ish/month "big shopping" trip
$20-$40 2 or 3 times a month to pick up in between fresh items

We do about $250 at costco's every two months and then average $50-60 a week at the regular store.

Usually $40-$50 per week at Stop and Shop (this week we only spent $13  )
Then we shop at BJs at least once a month=$50
And John's Farms for meat once a month=$40

we go every other month to BJs, that is usually a $150 - $200 bill, then with the little in-between shops I would say it breaks down to about $200 - $250 a month. For 2 of us.

About $400 - $450 (including toiletrees from Duane Reade)
We try to average $100 - $110 per week ... some weeks though we spend $200, some we spend $50. I try to buy only meats on sale ($1.99 lb chicken breasts at stop & shop) and make my own cutlets, stir fry packages, etc ...

About $200-300. We used to spend about $500 and it just went to waste most of the time. DH works nights, so usually I just get take-out or whip up a TV dinner now.
ETA: For the 3 of us. A large part of the cost is diapers, formula, etc.

Same for us ladies, and I told someone in work and she thought I was absolutely crazy to be spending that much. I don't think it's that bad considering that I cook almost every night and we only eat out MAX once a week.
