In a 24 hour period.
The post here on NFR goes 5 pages deep. A 5 pages deep is too many pages. 2 pages deep is perfect.
Well part of that is because 17 different people started American Idol threads.
If everyone had just stayed on the main one to ask Idol questions and make Idol comments it wouldn't have been that bad.
exacty!!
Look at the BB thread....that has been going since the start of BB this season...we just keep adding to it every day...

While I think it's a good idea, I don't think it will work. There have been tv show/movie threads in Celeb Gossip, and things moved there when reported. I think that is supposed to be the catch-all for entertainment. But everyone prefers NFR because it gets more views/replies and the threads don't get reported and thus don't get moved.
I think posting has been slow lately on NFR, except for when there's a drama thread. I kind of like going back a few pages to see what I missed. I would LOVE a "new posts since your last visit" type of feature but I think that would be a bear of a thing to implement with this forum programming.

The following forums are dead and can be changed or removed.
Business Helping Families, My Birth Story, Looking for Love, LIF Children's Books and Charity
I agree with all except My Birth Story. It's obviously only going to get updated as women give birth so it's not going to be that hot a place. But I look at it as a "Brides Review" type of forum for like, archival purposes. So women who have just become pregnant can know what to expect and read all the nice stories.
Agreed!

If only people searched before they posted their own threads... Or maybe it's because they just want the satisfaction of people replying to a thread they started? I don't know.
I don't think that will ever change, no matter how many forums we have or how much people report or b*tch about moved threads.

Agreed.
Although I do find the search feature to be a little sucky sometimes.
I search words I KNOW are in a thread trying to find it and no go.

I know what you mean. This is why I notebook anything that is remotely interesting or I might want to go back to later. You should see how many subfolders I have in there to organize it all.

so true!!
Maybe instead of having seperate forums for topics each one of us can have our OWN forum....then you can post what you want and no one can b|tch that things are posted in the wrong place!!
