Canary Diamonds
What would you set them in yellow gold, white gold or platinum?
Someone told me they only look good in yellow gold, but what if you don't wear yellow gold would you do white?

I would do either white gold or platinum. I'm not a fan of yellow gold to begin with and it might look weird with a yellow stone and yellow metal.

Re: Canary Diamonds
i agree with all of you. But my the jewler said that the contrast kills the look of the yellow diamond. i had never heard of this.

Re: Canary Diamonds
your jeweler is stating his personal preference....
I just googled images for 'canary diamond', and the vast majority of the pics are of gorgeous deep yellow stones set in platinum.
I think you really have to go with your own preference.... and then look at the stone color and go through online images and try to find a picture with a similar stone in both colors of metal....
good luck....

Re: Canary Diamonds
I have a citrine ring - not even close to being as amazing as a canary diamond, but for color purposes, close enough.
The stone's bezel (the metal directly surrounding the stone) is yellow, but the halo and the band is white.
I feel like the yellow houses and showcases the canary nicely, and the white makes it pop.

Re: Canary Diamonds
Whenever I have seen them the stone itself is in yellow gold and the rest of the ring is white- go to Jacob the Jewelers website he has some examples of what I am taking about.

Re: Canary Diamonds
My personal preference is a white toned gold. I actually think that a yellow gold actually washes out the colour of the stone.

Re: Canary Diamonds
my sister has a canary stone set in yellow gold with yellow stones on the band and it is a gorgeous ring..however, i think that white gold/platinum would set off the yellow stone much better! it blends to me...kwim?
either way, im sure itll be beautiful!!

Re: Canary Diamonds
MY MIL has a 3 stone diamond ring with a fancy yellow diamond in the center. The ring itself is WG but the prongs holding the diamond are YG. It looks really nice that way.
