New Doctor!
So after all the heartache I went through m I deciced to look for a new Dr. She basically concured with the other 2 doctors I saw and said my chances of IVF working are small (about 20%) and I only have about a 1% chance of conceiving on my own and she said my ovaries are about 45 years old. I felt basically nothing over the news I think I'm getting immune to bad news now. So now I have all these meds that I bought that I never used and now she doesn't wanna use them and I have to get all new ones! grrrrr All I can do is to not look behind and just keep marching on. My plan is to try the IVF twice and if it doesn't work I'm going to take a break for 1 year and just do it on my own. If nothing happens then I am prepared to go for a donor egg. If that doesn't work then we will try adoption. I really hope I can prove all these doctors wrong. I believe miracles happen. XOXOXO BOTB

Re: New Doctor!
I know what you mean about starting to feel numb to news. I'm glad to hear that you have a plan though- I think that's the healthiest thing you can do for yourself. We don't have a concrete plan yet... people keep trying to convince us to just move toward adoption- but I've only done 1 medicated IUI cycle besides all the cycles of just meds so far and the drs are pushing IVF on me... I just feel like I want to try a little longer before moving to the next step--- mainly b/c it isn't covered by insurance and we can't afford it. GL!!!!

Re: New Doctor!
This whole IF process is extremely numbing, so I can totally appreciate what you are saying. It does sound like you have a good outlook and the fact that you feel like you have some sort of a plan is a great thing. Miracles definately DO happen and 20% is definately something (couples w/out any IF issues only have like a 25% chance per given cycle from what I was told) so it will happen for you !!

Re: New Doctor!
Why are they saying that? High fsh? There is lots of info out there about how to lower your fsh. If I were you I would take 3 months off, find an acupuncturist and start eating all organic. Detox your body. Try Wheatgrass juice. Good luck

Re: New Doctor!
I'm so sorry you are going through this. But, 20% isn't nothing, right? Usually the success rates are around 40% for most clinics.
We were also told that it would be a miracle if we conceived on our own (doctor's exact words) but, every month we are on our own, I pray for that miracle.
