+Beta with Full Blown AF???????
Well here's an interesting one for you ladies. I go to the RE for CD3 bloodwork to start a new follistim/iui cycle after having to take March off due to cysts from my last follistim cycle. I am all happy that the cysts are gone and ready to gear up for another round. Then I get the afternoon call with my instructions and the nurse says my beta came back low at 14 but it's considered positive. DH and I tried naturally this past month but AF showed up in her full glory so how can I have a positive beta??? I have to go back tomorrow morning for another blood test to see what is going on. Any ideas? I am thinking chemical?
Update: Went for second blood test and spoke to the nurse. She said that there was no way I was having a real pregnancy with the results they got from yesterday. She mentioned the possibility of a lab error or a chemical. I will know more this afternoon.
Update #2: Beta came back below 5 this afternoon so I can start Follistim tonight for round 2. Still no explanation as to what may have happened. Possible chemical, possible lab error???

not necessarily. a lot of people get bleeding when they're pregnant. My mom bled heavily w/ me very early in her cycle and didn't find out right away that she was pg. It could be a chemical but i'm  ing that it keeps doubling!!!

Well, wait till you get your second beta to decide what is happening.
Once I went in for CD3 tests and I had a beta of 6. They told me my pregnancy test came back "slightly positive." When I went back it had dropped below 5, so was then considered negative. They said it could have been a chemical or it could have been leftovers from my trigger.

It can be a few things...I had it with an ectopic pregnancy last year.
You should know with your next beta and progesterone check. My SIL was pregnant but got AF b/c her progesterone was so low, then they put her on the suppositories and it stopped.

The trigger explaination would make sense but last month I was on a break and didn't take any medication at all. We tried totally naturally.

Of course my biggest fear is an ectopic. I have a history of low progesterone so I am wondering if that is what is causing this.
