Re: True Story from the ER
Was her gf a man? Usually lesbian's don't sleep with men and therefore no babies.

Lesbian athlete who was having regular periods. Hadn't been with a man in years, was very much in shape, but didn't notice all of that weight gain. The athlete was also drinking and doing coke (and admitting it). Is there a coincidence that all of this happened on April 1st?
Agreed.
It could definitely happen. I have seen it personally quite a few times. Denial is very powerful. It happens with teenagers a lot. In this case, the woman was a drug user. She probably didn't pay much attention to her health and possibly has sex for money. I have seen plenty of "lesbians" who will have sex with men at times. They don't tell their female partners. It's really pretty sad. I hope the baby is okay.

I don't understand how she didn't know she was pregnant. She had to know. Wouldn't have she felt kicking or something inside, I don't think kicking and that bubbling feeling would feel like cramps. She was probably playing stupid and refused the test because she knew she was.
It's possible that she didn't know, as odd as it seems. A long time ago, my mom was called into the ER to give a woman an epidural who was in labor. My mom was dumbfounded to learn that the lady came in simply complaining of lower back pain and had no clue she was pregnant, let alone in labor! The lady was overweight to begin with and admitted to gaining some weight during the past 9 months, but she didn't attribute it to pregnancy.
It still baffles me though. I'm due in 12 days and all my pregnancy symptoms have been difficult to ignore!
