who watched how i met your mother last night?? i thought britney spears, while yes was funny, was a terrible actress.

I definitely think Stella (aka becky connors) is the mother. But DH and I are trying to figure out how their kids are around the same age while stella has an 8 year old girl. my thoughts, maybe they had problems with fertility and adopted the son? or had some other reason to adopt the son. she just HAS to be the mother! they both were at the same party and she left early. last weeks episode he said that their mother was at the party but left early. ugh this is driving me nuts

Oh, I didn't make the St. Patrick's Day part connection. I totally forgot about that. That's a good catch. If she talks about losing a yellow umbrella...

I'm not honestly convinced the writers even know who the mother is yet. I think a lot will depend upon how many seasons the show lasts.

I like this show a lot but I am getting tired of the whole "mother" discussion.

And the date bit bugged me last night...I don't know why. I just thought it was annoying.

I thought so too. but both kids have dark hair and i think they are too old to be one ro more of her kids.

i thought brit was cute, but as good an actress as she is a singer.

yeah but isn't it 2010 or later than that when he's actually talking to the kids?

I just caught on that it's bob saget narrating the show. I was wondering why he didn't sound like ted.

Britney was.....weird!!! I don't know I just did not enjoy her role. It was so random....I guess she's trying to get back into a positive light?

IF the doctor was really the "mother":

The doc's kid could be in college. May explain why "Older Ted" is only talking to two kids around the same age. Nobody ever explained how long the courtship was or how long they were married before they started having kids.

I do not think the mother is the doctor. I thought Britney, was entertaining. She wasn't looking for an Emmy. She was fluff - which was a better way for her to slowly break back into entertainment than her MTV fiasco.

I think this show will be around much longer to keep the doc as the mother.

She's the yellow umbrella left at the st. pattys day party at the bar that Ted found the day after...which for her was an awful time as it was for Ted...who was too drunk to remember it really was an awful time until the next day. They'll recall sometime later on that they interacted that night--they are into flash backs.

I think their kids are probably who he is explaining the story too. He child is obviously older--but why couldn't she be "the mother". Famous funny actress w/ nothing to do. They've been trying to pull the whole thing together--I think they won't show her again until maybe the end of this season, and then she'll be more of a character next season. Why wouldn't she sign on? It's a great show!
