How much have you invested in TTC

I have found that i am going a little nuts in spending money. This month alone i have bought 2 boxes of digital OPKs and pregnancy test... well lets not even go at how many of those i will go through.

between the copays, the OPKs, the PG tests and the $850 a month for the last 2 1/2 years for insurance which is 99.9% only used for TTC (my RE/lab for bloodwork, etc....)
probably enough to put a down payment on a house.

Too much!

For 5 months we used the Clearblue digital OPKs, typically 2 boxes/month... and 1 box of 3 FRERs each of those months too.

Then a wonderful LIF lady gave me her CBEFM so we've been using that, but the box of sticks is pretty expensive too!

I try not to think about it because I know its probably too much.

We are going to start seeing an RE in a few weeks. The copay for that is $50 per visit. My med copay goes from $10 to $50. So I know that we will be spending so much more soon.

Ok, well if I count the HPT tests I have bought over the last year when we were not *actively* trying...

I bought 50 OPKs and 10 HPTs from babyhopes.com for $72. I bought online so I had a lot, and I knew this would be cheaper than buying at the store.

I bought 2 saliva microscope because I broke my first one after having it for a week. This is about $100 total.

I bought a package of digital OPKs last week, this was $30.

Then, I will assume in HPTs that I bought prior to Dec, it's about $75,

Which all brings my grand total to.... about $280.


And, I know before this journey is over, I am sure I will spend more-- my supplies are dwindling! If I do get my BFP this cycle, I will probably go and buy a digital test to confirm after I take my cheapo HPTs.

not much yet, 3 months of pre-natals so far ($75) and one box of HPTs $10

I shouldn't really count the pre-natal co-pay because it's really a wash since I'm not using BC anymore.

Other than alot of BD time, we only purchased the cbefm & the sticks,, Other than that for now money wise thats it

Ok, I just tried to add up what I've spent on OPKs & pregnancy tests over the last 3 months & it came out to $150

Reminds me that DH has to pick up more OPK. I think we could put more time into TTC but we have busy getting ready to move and been sick on and off.

All the OPK's, HPT's co-pay's and out of pocket expenses for meds, IUI's and IVF, ALOT!
