Would you bring this?
Dh and I are flying to Disney for Christmas. I want to bring one of his gifts along on the plane so he can have something to open. I bought him a very delicate and expensive train set, he will flip out when he sees it. But do you think it will be safe for me to put it in my suitcase? It is mostly metal...I dont want them to search my bag and have DH see it.

if you'er not going to have it in your carry- on, then If they search it- at least he wont see it. But, i dont think i'd chance it- espeically with the holidays- heightened security; Larger crowds (i.e More chance of luggage being lost...). i would probably give it to him before we went.

I think this is the best way to do it.
How about taking a pic and putting it in the card? It's not the same, but it'll be easier.

Can you take a picture of it at home, maybe in frot of hte tree? Then use one of the USPS boxes and put the picture in there and put that in your suitcase all wrapped up?

what about a picture of the set? I'd be so afraid of it breaking or of someone stealing it while you are on vacation!

Thanks for the great ideas. I think the picture thing will really work. I would hate for someone to steal it on the trip.
