Obligation buying
When co-workers send around school fundraisers, do you buy?
I pass it. Unless it is a magazine subscription. I hate being put on the spot, but I also hate when the order comes in and then I have to fork over my lunch money for the week for some gummi worm container.
PS-Avon suc ks in the office too.

And i know when it is my time, for my child, they will buy as well. So imo it all equals out!
Just got a great salad dressing mixer

It depends on the co-worker actually. If its just some random person who I hardly chat with, then no, I pass the book along.
If its someone I'm relatively friendly with, then yes I always buy at least one small item from whatever their kid is selling
BUT i also have to usually buy from my nieces and nephews so it DOES add up (thankfully, I can usually find something useful to get rather than candy )

I don't feel obligated to buy something from everyone's kid in the office. I only buy from one or two co-workers kids that I am friends with.

I don't buy tons but I do buy some stuff. Cause get what when my daughter is selling you have to buy some stuff too!
