Consuidering how crappy the market is, you'll likely not get what you want for your house. We put our house on the market 3 months BEFORE I got pg and didn't get a contract until I was 7 months pg. Let me tell you, showing that damned house, keeping it clean and dealing with the stress of "will we sell or not" was just too much.
Then , we had to move when I was 8 months pregnant. I'm glad we DID sell it, but would NEVER do that again.

Thats one of the reasons we bought a house we could afford on 1 salary.
I don't think I would sell and move into an apartment but I would possibly seel and move into a smaller/cheaper house.

no too big an investment. also you never know how you will feel about staying home. i thought thats all i wanted ever wanted but now doing it, i do miss work and will be going back next year. if i sold my biggest investment and then felt miserable as a SAHM then i would feel a million times worse.
