2 Hour Glucose Test - UPDATED
I called the ENZO lab in Massapequa Park to schedule an appointment for my two hour glucose test on Saturday. The girl told me I don't need to schedule an appointment, and can just come in around 7 - does this sound right? The nurse at LI IVF made it seem like I should be given an appointment time.
Also, when do I start fasting? And what should I expect?

I have to fast for a blood test on Monday morning, and mine is at 7am as well. I was told no food or water after midnight.
Unfortunately, they didn't think to tell me that I needed the glucose test until AFTER they had me start the Met.

midnight, if not earlier.
When you get there and sign in they'll give you a bottle to drink. I think you have to drink the whole thing in like 2-3 mins. Then they'll take your blood in the beginning, 30 mins in, i think an hour in and then at 2 hours to see how your body reacts to glucose. this is how i found out that i'm somewhat insulin resistant. hth.

I'm just reading online now that some labs require you to get the glucose drink from your pharmacy. Do I have to do this or will the lab provide me with the drink?

Just got back from my 2 hour glucose test. It wasn't AS bad as I suspected, but that orange drink was SWEET. Not to mention the fact that my arms are all bruised up from all the poking (I bruise very easily!).
I'm just happy I can eat now.
Any idea how long the test results usually take?
