And at the "Bark Park" - a HUGE fenced area with a lake and lots of room to run (although mostly he just smelled and barked! He's getting old! Chat Icon ):

He just turned 12 in October but seems to be rapidly aging since Max passed Chat Icon

Yeah that seems to happen - my sister's Golden passed away a few months ago and her other dog seemed to age so quickly after that.
She just got a 2-year-old rescue....a real sweetie. Are you thinking about another dog? We wanted to get another one when Ebony got older to help "keep him young", but then he died suddenly....at 11Chat Icon

It's funny, DH would have gotten another dog when we still had three. After Hershey passed, I didn't want a new dog - I was devastated and annoyed by people who so quickly asked if we would be "replacing" her. Eventually I would have went for it but then Max got sick and that lasted for about eight months.

Puppy was at the top of DH's Christmas list (although Baby was at mine Chat Icon ) but since we were driving to SC and my mom has two cats, it just didn't seem to make sense until at least after we got back.

And now I'm trying to decide if a puppy would be good for Bailey or if we should spend this time making the most of him still being around and keep him the center of attention. He just seemed really old this trip - I think he's still adjusting to being home.
