anniversaries
Do you follow any traditions on your anniversary? A friend of mine told me every year her and her DH light their unity candle. I never thought of doing that but thought is sounded like a nice thing to start.

Re: anniversaries
Each year we have had either a block party or a BBQ to celebrate with all our family & friends! (We got married 4th of July!)
On our dating anniversary we always go to dinner & to see the Christmas Tree at EAB, which we did on our very first date almost 13 years ago!

We have the top layer of our wedding cake made by our bakery. We drink out of our toasting flutes...and I put my dress back on, LOL

Re: anniversaries
I have this anniversary book and for each year there are a few questions about what happened that year... like where did you live, events that went on, how did you celebrate, etc. And then there is a spot for a picture which I always fill in with a picture from the day of the anniversary. It's a fun thing to do, after 3 years even my DH is like come on we gotta take a picture for the book!

Re: anniversaries
This year for our first anniversary we had our top layer of cake. We also went out to dinner. Since first year is paper we got each other cards and scratch offs. Not bad deal since I won a few bucks
We also had tankerds that we drank from all night at the wedding and we drink from them normally if we have a drink so using them on the anniversary was not a big deal. Though I did put my head piece and garter on for fun

thats actually our plan. its really the only reason i even bought the candle for the ceremony (we didnt get the toating flutes or cake cutting set)- but the candle thing was a tradition that we wanted to start together!
