Ebaye Sellers....help
what does that little gold person next to a name mean? doesn't it mean power seller????
How can someone with NO FEEDBACK have that?
And if said person has bid on something, should I see if they are real or should I void their bid (if I can)?

It just means they are new to eBay. If they were a PowerSeller, it would have an icon that said PowerSeller next to their name : )

exactly. After a certain amount of time (not sure if its 30, 60 or 90 days) the person goes away. Once your feedback is at 50 you get a star.

just cancel their bid... My auctions ask that no one with zero feedback bid.. so I cancel bids if they do.. I've had to many problems to deal with it anymore

Why do you suspect they are fake? They are probably just new to ebay -- everyone is at some point. I would expect the transaction to go fine and if for some reason it doesn't at least you can re-list or make a second chance offer.

I agree. I'd say only maybe 1 out of 20 zero feedback persons is a scammer (I've had a couple too), but I wouldn't block those who are new to ebay. We were all new at one point or another
