Which monitor do you have?
We started registering and I'm not sure which one to choose. Baby Bargains suggests the FP sounds and lights. We were also looking at the Safety 1st video monitor. Which do you have and do you like it?

I have the safety first and its ok. I can only get video reception when the camera and monitor are on the same floor. I really wanted to be able to see him when I am in my kitchen, but it serves its purpose at night when I dont have to get up and go in to check on him. I use it in combo with the angel care monitor.
The audio portion of the safety 1st is really good though

I have the FP one you mentioned and love it - Ive had it for 3 years in 2 different homes and Ive never had a problem.

I have the Fisher Price one. No problems at all. I've never had a video monitor, the baby's rooms are adjacent to ours!

We have the Fisher Price lights & sounds. No problems. It picks up everything, I can hear when she sighs or rolls over in her sleep. It's great.

I have the FP one too...I am not crazy about it. One of the monitors is staticky. Also one day I switched the channel by accident and I ciuld hear someone talking and it wasn't in my house. I wold return them but dont have the package.

I have the FP lights and sounds and like it a lot because when I was pumping the pump was so noisy but you were still able to "see" if she was crying -- I've found that it works better plugged in then with batteries though. It's more staticy with batteries but crystal clear plugged in.

We have the Sony monitor but haven't used it yet. I am always in whatever room she is in so no need for it yet.

I have the video monitor and I also love it (it also has lights) It has saved me a lot of trips to the baby's room since there are plenty of times she makes noise but she isn't really getting up.

Ditto... also makes it easier for her naps during the day. I can go downstairs and work on the computer and still watch her the whole time on the monitor.

We have the Summer video monitor and really love it....no static and very clear night vision. At first I wasn't sure about the video but now that we have one, I couldn't imagine having a monitor without a video.
