Who comes up with these ideas
I just saw a new Geico commercial. It's a story about salmon fish going back to where they were born when they become "adult". They cut to a bear chewing up the salmon (it literally tears the tail off and chews) while you hear "but I saved a ton of money on my car insurance".
Some idiot came up with the idea and another idiot thought this was a good commercial to put on the air?

they saved at least 15% on their car insurance, by switching to Geico.

That one always gets me...I think it's going to be a real reality show for the first couple of seconds then I remember it's a GEICO commercial!
I don't think the bear one is all that bad... I guess cause I'm used to watching that stuff on the discovery channel and what not since DH always has it on.

He SCREAMS thru the entire commercial, then is on his "glider" at the end saying YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL this is a good thread!!! Althoug my fiance and I just bought a new truck and Geico gave us a lot better deal then every one else with the same coverage. They split it in half.

But if you were thinking about changing it... most likely you'd think of Geico first. And that's what they want to achieve.
