Razor question-
I need a new brand of razor....Needless to say I shaved under my arms with a razor and ended up getting a horrible, very painful purple and red rash. I ended up at the dermatologist and am on medication for it, it hurts like H#$^ LL! What do you use to shave under your arms with and have had success with, no horrible rashes and is gentle. I am so scared to shave again. TIA!

Re: Razor question-
I used the Intuition...you hang it in the shower and has a moisturizer bar around the razor so you dont cut yourself.

Re: Razor question-
I've never had a problem with razors and usually just buy whatever has three blades and is cheapest.
But I do want to say that when I saw this subject, I thought you meant a Motorola Razr. And when I read your post I pictured someone rubbing their phone in their armpit.
Carry on.

Is it def. the razor that did it to you?? B/c I had the same thing and it ended up I suddenly became allergic to scented deoderant..the minute I switched to non-scented the rash disappeard. It was weird it was like from one day to the next and it was the same kind of rash and it hurt like hell felt like my skin was completely raw..it hurt just to even keep my arms down

No, I am positive it is from the razor, the whole dermatolgists office was in there looking at my pits. LOL..... but not so LOL, it is definately the razor. I wish it was just the deodorant- they said it looks like I am badly burned from it and it looks like skin was just cut off- even though it was not. It hurts so much! It hurts when I put on a bra .... because the rash is also right outside of my armpits too. I am bearing with it becuase I have to wear a bra- I am gong to try a Intuition razor when I can shave again.

Re: Razor question-
I always had irritation issues too... the venus razor (also with a moisturizing strip) works well for me...

Re: Razor question-
I use the Venus Breeze, which has the built in shave gel and it works really well for me. I am also very sensitive.

Re: Razor question-
I use the schick quatro...it's meant for men, but I figure, it it's ok for thier faces, then it's fine for my legs and underamrs.....
the thing is I've been getting laser hair removal on my underarms for almost a year...I rarely grow hair at all there, so I shave very infrequently....it's something to consider if you're ultra sensitive with razors.

I only use Men's razors too - they get a much better shave. I forget the name of it, but i use the one with FIVE blades now... LOL!
