was anyone at the melting pot on saturday?

around 7-8pm? sitting in the upper section?

if so i am sorry for my dad who felt the need to peek over the side of the booth because he couldn't believe that only four people were making that much noise!

i am glad whoever it was was having a good time my father is too annoying!

ok, i'll just post a "review"

i made reservations for 8 people 1 1/2 weeks ago, as soon as it opened.

we didn't have to wait too long to be seated... but when we were, UGH! the table they sat us at was WAY too small for 8 people - next to us, at a table the same size, were FOUR people! and we had a booth on one side so 5 of us had to slide in... sooo annoying and cramped! we said something to uor server and he got the manager, who was SO nice and offered to serve us our cheese fondue at the table where we were and then move us to another table on the upper level (the people sitting there were just finishing their dessert fondue). the new table was great because there were 3 fondue stations instead of 2 which made it much easier for 8 people to share, IMO.

also, most of us had to wait a long time for our drinks b/c we were told that the three bartenders working were all new - but seriously, how hard it is to pour a glass of wine?

i have to say i was not a huge fan of the cheese fondue that i ordered (too much wine in it) but the rest of the food was awesome (although i was annoyed that salad was included with the entrees so i felt obligated to order it - the price of the entree should be reduced so that the salad can be optional!) our server was excellent and ALL of the staff there was very helpful, and both managers came to our table to see how things were. they were VERY generous with bringing extra suaces and veggies which was very nice.

my only other gripe was that while there was plenty of chocolate, there wasn't a whole lot of stuff to "dip," so some of us fought over the strawberries and bananas

the head manager came up to us again at the end of the night to check on us, and we made a point to compliment our server (hi frank!) and the mgr gave us each $10 gift cards for our trouble in the beginning.

overall a great experience! we are going back december 15 - we tried to make another reservation for 8 but they are already booked for that # of people!
