Is it really work getting up at the crack of dawn to be at Best Buy? We are look for a new TV and computer.

Im psyching myself up for a laptop. Dont know if I can handle the early morning lines. Im actually concerned that if I get on line too early, I may have to pee. I need a life - truly I need a life.

I say it's worth it but you have to be there early cause the lines are usually sooooo long. We've always done good in Best Buy though. Check the circulars...they are usually good and so is Circuit City. Most of the stores have awesome sales this day. Good luck!!  Most of all, Happy Shopping!

My DH works for BB and people get in line on Thanksgiving. I didn't believe him until I saw it for myself last year when we were driving home from my aunts. He has to be at work at 2:30am on Black Friday. From what I've heard though the deals are worth it.

If you must get a PC computer, get a Dell and buy directly from them at dell.com
You can usually find great discount codes for dell at techbargains.com.
My husband and I are both computer professionals and find Dell to be the best PCs. Alot of big companies also buy from Dell 'cus they know this for a fact too.
To buy other brands, go to newegg.com. You'll find they have great prices there.
You can easily get a good computer for $500 from dell.com or newegg.com them w/o the long wait.

we drove by there last year at 11:30pm on Thanksgiving, and there were already at least 15-20 people on line. Most stores usually only have about 12 or so (it should say in the flyer) of each of the really good sale price items, so unless you're going there after dinner on thanksgiving to start waiting, its not worth it, imo.

That happened to me last year. My dad, DH, and I went, and my mom made us coffee in a thermos. Well, by 5am I had to pee, but i had to wait until after 6 to pee. So I ran, got my GPS, and then used Best Buy's bathroom. Yeah, it was a pain, but worth it! This year, I'll forgo the coffee while waiting in line.

last yr I went to Circuit city. got there at like 5 minutes to 5 am...there was a HUGE line, but I got everything I went there for, and there was at least 100 people before me in line.
