Yes, a house WOULD HAVE been nice before a baby. Instead, stupid us thought we'd have TIME before a baby and just rented a lovely one bedroom apartment. Ironically, my lease is up the same day I'm due

What are you guys going to do? I am happy we are in a 2 bedroom co op but I know once the baby comes I will get the house itch!

that's so crazy (about the date)! it makes complete sense though to rent a 1 bdrm and keep your costs down now before the baby- even if it is cramped for a little bit

We are probably going to stick to our original plan and rent for one more year, but find a cheaper place and get a two bedroom apartment. I really want to buy a three bedroom condo somewhere, and right now, it's not feasible for us. JT just started a new job this year, so it'd be hard to use his income for a mortgage. My BIL is a mortgage broker and he said he needs to be employed at the same company for at least a year. So we'll see. I'm stressed over it, but it's not like we won't have a roof over our heads. We just won't own said roof
