Verticle Blinds?

DH wants to get blinds for our sliding glass doors for our apartment. I love having them plain, but do realize that come winter we will have no privacy if we don't have something. Can anyone suggest a good place in Suffolk County that isn't too expensive? Thanks

Blinds to Go.

What about some curtain panels instead? They are cheaper and you can change the look often.

I agree, I had verticals and took them down, (just hate them IMO) and put up curtains instead.

I have a question though. The window next to the doors have horizontal blinds (which I am not allowed to take down as per our lease), would it look okay to have the curtain panels on the door and leave the windows as is, or should I do something for the windows too (would have to be in addition to blinds)? The set up of this apartment (although I love the apartment) sometimes makes the apartment a challenge to decorate.

I am also trying to figure out what to put against a wall to hide wires from cable and phone from a jack that was put in a very odd place too (next to where the couch isChat Icon ) We have toyed w/ putting the TV where the wires are, and that would cover it up, but the couch does not fit on the opposite wall and you would be right on top of our super powered A/C wall unit.

I think it would be fine for you to hang curtains up on the sliding glass doors and just leave the blinds on the window. Curtains are cheaper too. I had veritcals on my windows when we bought our house. I hate them! The ones they had up there were cheap and they fell down all the time. So, I hung up curtains instead. So much cheaper than replacing them with newer/nicer ones.

You can always do a double curtain rod and have a heavier curtain on top with a sheer on the bottom. This way, during the day you ca still pull the sheer closed for privacy but still get light in the room.

ETA: Definitely look at Marburn Curtains. They are MUCH cheaper than JCPenny, Macys, BB&B, or Linens-n-Things.
