VENT about KB Toys
I went to KB Toys in Port Jeff Station earlier today and bought Cassidy a Fisher Price toy. It was $39.99. So now I'm home, just put Cassidy in for a nap, and I go online to get some ideas for X-mas shopping, and the same toy is $29.99 on the KB Toys website.
I called the store that I bought it at and the woman tells me that they have nothing to do with the website and the website might charge less because you have to pay shipping (there is free shipping on this item) So the woman gives me an attitude and tells me I can return it and order it online.
Is it me, or is that nuts? So many places price match, and they won't even price match THEIR OWN WEBSITE!!!!!!!!

it is nuts. but not unheard of.
when dh and i were looking for an outdoor fireplace, we found one we loved online, but refused to pay $85 for shipping. so we called the store directly, but they said they didn't carry that particular one, and that the website was a different entity then the actual store. 
i would just return it to the store and get a refund, then order it online.
where is there a KB over here????

The same thing happened to me at Babies R Us! I bought a co worker a gift for $39.99 at the store - came home and checked the website and it was $29.99. I felt like he thought I was cheap!

Try and speak with the store manager they might be able to help you. Iw ould go back to th store keep th eitem in my car and go in and speak with the manager and see what he says. if you can print it from the website that might help too. If nothing at that point Id just return it and get it on line

I have seen that with a lot of stores...it is so much easier and more cost effective to ship something from a warehouse. Items in the store have been handled by warehouse employees, incur shipping fees to the store and then handled by the store employees. And that sale price of the item needs to cover some amount of the store's overhead (rent, power, etc).

Same thing happened to me. I brought my niece a toy already for Xmas at Toys R Us. I paid $29.99 for it but the website said $19.99.

Ugh, I thought everyone knew KB toys is so overpriced!!!!! Everything on the website is cheaper than in the stores, even clothes like gap, I always check out the internet before going into the store!

I do that to now!! DH thinks I am nuts but I check toys r us, gap, old navy, almost every stores website before I go to the store

Oh also check out amazon too- their prices are cheaper than the stores usually for toys AND buy before thanksgiving, after that the prices go way up, I learned my lesson last yr.
