Im sorry .. some people just have no right to be the field there in.. My mom was on her death bed, and some nurses (not all, but sadly most of them) were not nice!!!
I hope your father feels better and can get out of that place and away from that nasty lady soon..

my brother is also crabby and has an attitude and the people at St. Johnland are great. They apparently love their jobs because i know i couldn't do what they do everyday. I hope dad comes home soon.
My sister works at St. Johnsland!

I'm sorry you have to deal with such an arrogant lady who does not have common sense, I hope your dad gets out of their soon, and I agree with the Op document everything, and file a report against this lady and ask if you can have another person look after your dad in the meanwhile... I hate nursing homes... I 'REALLY' do!!

I never got why some nurse's act that way, why have the job you do if you can't work with patients that need your care and help.
I'm sorry you had to deal with that! I hope you dad gets out of there asap!!

I am so glad you put in a complaint. I agree with the poster that said, make sure she is never assigned to your dad's room again. I would definitley request that!

DHs uncle who had alzheimers was in an assisted living facility and this kind of stuff happened all teh time
some of these people should not work in this kind of facility......they do not have th kind of patience that is needed
sorry this happened to your Father
if they act they way in front of you who knows how she is when you arent there
I would definitely complain about her

Both my parents are nurses...the assistants wreck their lives. I won't say all, but many are lazy lowlifes.
My dad wrote one up, the next day his car tires were slashed at work.
My mother, forget about it. She got into nursing because she is such a mother hen. She works long hours now just because she does everything herself...its not even worth it to have an assistant help.
I am sorry you are going through this.

chris as a cna for ten years if i would have saw that kinda behavior from a fellow aid i would have reported herso quickly her head would have spun right off her neck aids like this make me sick to my stomage you do have to let the nursing manager and administrator of the nursing home. also there is a patient advocate number you can call for that building and inform them of what happen. as a form aid i am disgusted to hear someone talk to a resident like that

you need to complain- find out who is her boss, the nurse manager on her shift and then who is in charge of the nurse manager, you need to report her, write a letter and tell them you are sending it to Albany too ( im sure they dont want health officials shutting down their doors) you hear nightmare stories all the time about nursing homes and these nurses most aka as aids ( who dont have a license) or LPN's. they are not RN's- I would be extremely surprised it is an RN.

Document that in writing -- in a very detailed letter to her boss, sent return receipt requested, demanding someone follow up with you about this person. No excuse for that. I'd demand she never be assigned to your dad's room.
I totally think you should do this Chris!! I'm so sorry this happened. What an azzhole. She needs to find another line of work.
Here's hoping you can get him out of there asap!!

I'm sorry that she isn't being very nice to you and your family! I am in the health care profession and it bothers me to see sooo many people working at hospitals, nursing homes, etc, that do not want to do anything to help the patients and are mean to them. Hopefully it all works out for you!

I am so very sorry your father was treated so poorly. I am happy to hear that you reported her. Just make sure you continue to complain. No one deserves to be treated like they don't matter. She is a piece of garbage.
