Exhausted.......
So I went to bed last night and woke up at 1am. I could not go back to sleep - I tossed and turned all night trying to get into a comfortable position. At 3am I started having horrible thoughts - that with all the tossing and turning - I was getting the umbilical cord around the baby. I know its crazy but I just couldn't help the thought. Then, when DH wakes up around 4am he tells me that he has a fever, is sore and feels like he is coming down with something. He eventually got up to get ready to go to work. I eventually fell asleep and just woke up at 8am. I decided to work from home today (I have that option). I'm afraid I am going to get sick - is it really mean of me to tell DH to sleep in the guest room? And what can I take if I get sick? Is it just Tylenol? I have a doctors appt tomorrow but was just wondering...............

Darn insomnia! We have crazy thoughts in the middle of the night, don't we?
Don't freak about getting sick. Talk to your doctor tomorrow before taking anything cold related. Stick with tylenol if you must take something.
Absolutely send DH to the guest room if he's sick. (It's usually me going to the guest room if I need a change of scenery or DH's snoring is just plain too loud)..

I couldn't sleep last night either. When that happens I usually get up and surf or read.
Def kick DH out if he is sick....

I had a horrible night too. I woke up many times, just warm since our AC is not working right now. Then woke up at 4 and could not get comfortable. I know I should get up when that happens, but i was stubborn.
DH has been sick, but I figured I share the same air as him, what difference would it do to make him sleep on the couch? Even though the previous 2 nights he was on the couch since he had trouble sleeping.

this is me as well....insomnia has been one of the worst parts for me as I am so lacking sleep sometimes I feel like a crazy person, its not healthy. I would talk to your doctor if you feel it is becomig a problem--although they told me to ty tylenol pm and it didn't work for me so I usually jsut try and sleep when I can, day or night, fortunately I hav a sitaution where I can do it but basically insomnia S*CKS!!

No I don't think it's mean to tell him to go to the guest room! He may do it automatically. My husband was sick a few weeks ago and he himself was like I don't want to get you sick and slept in the other room for a few nights!

My DH has slept in another room any time he has gotten sick since I got my BFP.

Me too!!! I got up last night at 4:30 and never went back to sleep!
The night before I was up from 1 - 530, then slept from 530 - 8 and worked from home.
You're sleeplessness may not be because you're getting sick. But just drink lots of fluids and eat well so you can try to avoid getting sick. If you do, just call your doctor.
