Question(s) about DWI
A soon to be ex-relative was arrested for DWI in the city. This is his second within the past 8 years. And he was driving a company car. I'm not sure what his blood alcohol level was. Does anyone know what the possible punishment may be? Will the city take the car away permanently? Will he just lose his license? Any info would be appreciated.

Re: Question(s) about DWI
I don't know about the punishment, but I believe that if the car does not belong to him than the car will be impounded and then returned to the owner. I think the severity of the punishment depends on whether there was any property damage or if anyone was hurt but I'm not sure.

It depends on how good of a laywer he has and how hard azzed the judge is. A little luck wouldn't hurt.

I completely agree...he has no idea how his actions affect other people.

Re: Question(s) about DWI
I am a drug and alcohol counselor. The guys I work with some to my agency from probation/parole. Depending on his lawyer, he is facing probation, community service, and/or mandated treatment. He could also lose his license until the treatment agency submits that he has successfully completed the program. They will need to send some paperwork up to Albany for him to get his license back.
FM me if you have any other questions.
