Re: how often do you invite

I don't have siblings and we have not seen DH's bro in a good 2.5 or 3 years. We invite his mom over a lot and we go over her place a lot, too.

Re: how often do you invite

Since we don't live near eachother, not as often as I would like.

Usually it's just for major events. We also all host one holiday (Thanksgiving being mine)

Never and Never.

Same. Barely speak to my father, my mother lives in South Carolina and my brother lives in Massachusetts.

We have dinner with DH's siblings on Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I am jealous. My in-laws are constantly asking us to come over. When we first got married I would see them at least once a week. Now maybe every two weeks.
I see my own mom a few times a month, and my sister maybe once a month.
They both don't live in LI.

To be the inviter, Never and never.

Well my inlaws live in another country- so I am never invited to their house for dinner. (Unless we are in their country of course).

I live in a small 1 bedroom apartment in the city, so I never invite my family over for dinner anymore. Our dining area is now Jordana's play area.

My mom and my sister and I get together every 2 weeks or so. Sometimes its dinner at thier places (bigger than mine), sometimes its dinner out.

Re: how often do you invite

Dinner? Not too often--I have my parents for dinner and his parents for dinner a few times a year. Sometimes together. But drinks/coffee....a lot. At least once every few weeks.

We are always invited over to both parents' houses...open invites for dinner, basically! I have my sis over for dinner sometimes. When SIL got engaged, I made a special dinner for her and her FI. I wish I could do dinners more but we are so busy...everyone's busy so no one cares or makes an issue of it. We are always in touch with our fams and that's what matters!

Re: how often do you invite

I don't invite my family or friends over my house very often. I get entirely too stressed (which I know I sholdn't). I am hoping to start entertaining more.

I have a standing invitation at my parents for Sunday dinner - but we probably go there 1 or 2 times a month for dinner. We see my inlaws about 1 or 2 times a month too..

Re: how often do you invite

We try to see all close family twice a month and it's pretty evenly distributed between our house and theirs.

Re: how often do you invite

We almost never invite - we are the only ones without a house.

Otherwise it would be for a holiday and the occasional BBQ in the summer. Neither of us has parents still living, though. I think if we had parents we would probably have them over occasionally.

Re: how often do you invite

I should invite my parents over for dinner more often. We are always invited there, and I guess just cause I love being here I forget that I should give them a break and invite them.

Re: how often do you invite

Hardly ever - both ways

Sometimes we'll invite my parents over for dinner and my DH will cook something for them. And in the summer we'll go there for a BBQ.
