We rarely go on vacations to go with/be with family.... However, with two DC, DW and I never go on vacations *alone*, but most of our vacations are just the four of us. No other family members.

A good deal. About two amazing vacations a year without dd, a week long trip to Vermont during XMAS week and assorted weekend trips for weddings, graduations, family reunion type deals....
Honestly, We have taken her with us twice when we had to (in laws couldn't watch her)- once for a wedding and once for a funeral. She didn't enjoy herself and trust me- neither did we. She loves staying with my inlaws....

The last time we went away alone was 2 years ago....we probably wont be anytime soon since DS was born

not since honeymoon, except for long weekend trips, probably not again until after baby is born.

Since we are married in 2002, we go away alone on weekend trips maybe twice a year. We also had a week in Disney in 2004. We have been away for a long vacation since, so we are TOTALLY looking forward t Vegas in 2 weeks!!!
We certainly can not afford lavish vacations every year. And the one of the weekend trips every year is to PA for Drag Racing which DH loves to see!!! So.....while it may not be my cup of tea.....we get to spend 2 nights away!!
