Ok, so I am a big baby...
I just called my mom in a panic to come over because there is a cricket sitting on the wall right below the ceiling in my dining room and I am afraid.
She needs to kill it and I am too scared too. I am petrified that if I swat it with a broom it will jump on me and that would send me into a spasm or give me a stroke. How silly is this??? Darn you DH for working!!

I killed one the other day after my cat brought it to me as a gift.

Easier said than done. I have a severe fear of bugs.. esp crickets. I wish I could just murder this thing and move on!!

I hear ya. There was a cricket in the basement a few weeks ago and thank goodness it was at night 'cause DH was home to kill it! However, there was one in the house the other day when DH was not home and I just smashed the little booger with a broom. It worked well. The first swat "stunned" it enough so it didn't hop!

i could not kill it either. i had one in the house by the front door a few weeks ago and DH was not home to "take care of it" so i was forced to put it outside myself. there was no way i could kill it.

I crush them with tissue boxes! it seems safer than swatting! less chance of them jumping at you.
