I am mortified!!
DH and I have been married 2 years.
While we were re-doing our bedroom, I stumbled across a big envelope and inside were 5 thankyou cards that never went out!!!! We each thought the other sent them out but obviously we didn't.  They are all to the same members of a family - his mom's cousins and uncle. We VERY rarely see any of them but I am so embarassed!!!!!!!
Should I send it with a note as to what happened??

This happened to us too- except it wasn't 5, it was about 25. It's a long story but I ended up calling the people and apologizing for the delay, explaining the situation and then sent the cards..
They weren't mad- things happen

I would crunch them up and rub them in dirt, to appear as though they were lost in the mailroom somewhere for years! and backdate it in the card!

aweee... somtimes these things happen....don't be too hard on yourself.....If you don't feel confortable calling them, send the original card with a note explaining what happened and that you feel bad......I'm sure everyone will understand...........

You really have made me feel soooo much better. I have been so upset all day about it. I think I will send a note because if we called I think at first they would all be like "who?".
