Your DH has been getting the updates, correct? Why do they want both of you to call?
I agree. It's his brother, right?
Don't worry, it'll blow over.
Feel better.

That's ridiculous that you BOTH need to call. If he calls it is just assumed that you are being filled in and you are sending sentiments as well.
I agree that your DH should have told your BIL that you were sick, but sometimes men are just knuckleheads and don't think (sorry boys).
Feel better. They'll get over it once they hear your message that you were sick yourself. How could they not call while you're sick?? Geesh, the horror of it all!

Oh please - You didn't do anything wrong. - The kid fell and bumped his head - Little boys do that. - They took care of him, he's fine. - Your DH obviously called to see how his nephew was doing, so you should be 'covered' through him ! - It's not like they needed you to help rush him to the hospital and you refused or something like that ! -
Some people just "look" at every little thing - You were not insensitive.
