Holly has DIARRHEA...
I changed Holly's food a few days ago and now she has DIARRHEA. I tried mixing the old with the new food but she picked out the new food and left the old and now she has diarrhea. Anything you guys can recommend for poor Holly...
Total Pet Care said this may happen because of her age...

Welll anytime you change a dogs diet they are most likely going to have diarrhea. If you are mixing the food and she is picking and only eating the new then there is nothing you can really do aboutt that. You can try boiling some chop meat and rice and mixing it in with the new food and if that doesn't work you can give her some pepto bismol to settle her stomach.

Re: Holly has DIARRHEA...
sophie has intestines of steel and can eat anything (really, anything - even random stuff off the street) without getting sick. owen, on the other hand, gets diarrhea just by looking at a new food. you never know what you're gonna get when you give a dog something new to eat.
the good news is, the diarrhea will go away once she gets used to the food, but it may take a couple weeks. in the meanwhile, i would take her on more frequent walks and use a little pepto to settle her tummy.

You can mix in boiled white rice with her food.. it should bind her a bit. It works for Coop.

Re: Holly has DIARRHEA...
Thanks all. I'm taking her to the vet. She's not able to hold down her food.
