PAINTING ??
Would you paint every room you want to in your house before you move in or gradually? I am thinking do 1 room at a time as we go, just in case we change our minds once we furnish it, but I know it is a lot easier to paint before you move in also.

we are getting our house painted right now...we splurged and are having them paint every room before we move in...we should be moving in next weekend...i think it's easier for the painters if we are not living there yet BUT if we were painting it ourselves i would paint the most lived in rooms before we moved in and then paint everything else once we moved in

We've taken it room by room and I am so glad we did as our tastes have changed (in only ayear!).

most of the rooms will be painted before we move in. I think the only room that won't be painted before is the family room, because we still have construction to do in that room. IMO it's just easier to paint first, so the furniture and boxes are out of your way.

We also painted everything before we moved in...much easier without all of the furniture and everything else in the way. We knew what was going in each room and based our paint colors on that!

We are painting most of the rooms before we move in. The only ones we are not painting are the ones that we don't know what to do with yet (office, spare bedroom, bathrooms)

we did the same thing and we didnt paint the kitchen b/c we wanna change the floor so i wanted to wait to do that just b4 DH puts the new floor in
we didnt do the hallway just b/c I KNEW we would hit the walls
PS we did hit the wall! so i am glad i left that for last

We needed to be out of our apartment by a certain date. SO we painted the master bedroom before we moved in.
Then we painted all of the other rooms one at a time while we were living there.
It was just me and DH so it worked out well. And we did the painting.

all bedrooms, the den, living room, dining room and kitchen. The foyer and the bathrooms were the only thing we didn't do before we moved in. We will do them eventually.

us too. With all the choices we already had... we didn't want to choose all the paints colors on a whim just to get it done!
