Is everyone on vacation this month?
It seems like 75% of the company is on vacation. Almost every person I have e-mailed in the last few days has their out of the office auto reply on And this goes for vendors as well....at least 50% of them are on vacation this week and some last week.
I know that in Europe most people are on vacation in August but it's not something I've ever noticed in the U.S. I was not with this company this time last year so I had no idea that August was the big vacation month?

Half of my office is out the next two weeks ... last change before kids go back to school, or taking their kids to college.

Ahhh....that must be it! One guy just got back from Grand Cayman with his wife and mentioned that they took their 2 kids.

This is what it is...Most college kids had to go back this weekend or next. So it is the last chance for family vacations....
