OMG
After almost a year of trying and our last effort before going for an IUI next month, I tested and got a BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am in shock but beyond excited.
Now a quick question because I am already a nervous wreck. I called my dr. because I went for blood tests yesterday for confirmation and to check hormone levels. She said (the nurse), definitely positive and she was going to check w/ my doctor on the progesterone levels. Of course now I am worried and freaking out, hoping she calls asap. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I am looking forward to joining you on this board!

Re: OMG
Congrats!! My understanding is that they want to see your progesterone level at least at 15, preferably higher. If it's lower, you may have to use progesterone suppositories.
Congrats again!!

Re: OMG
Congratulations! That's wonderful!
I was never told anything about my levels so I can't really help there, just I was pregnant and everything looked good! Enjoy and good luck!

Re: OMG
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!
sounds like your beta was good, which is a great sign!!
your body needs to make enough progesterone to support the pregnancy. if your progesterone level is low, you will get supplements to take for a while (not sure exactly how long, haven't done this myself) until the placenta starts producing the progesterone for the pregnancy (which is at about the 4 month point, i believe).

Re: OMG
Thank you ladies! I swear I don't know if the computer is the best or worst thing ever. I make myself crazy looking stuff up a nd causing myself to panic. I must step away from google!! The only thing that made me feel better was that one site said a higher/good progesterone often causes tender boobs and bloating, which are my 2 biggest symptoms Anyway, thanks agin, I'll keep you posted.

Re: OMG
Uh, ok, I called them again, and he hasn't looked at my folder yet. They said he'll call tonight or tomorrow. I HATE this feeling of waiting around. I hope I am nervous over nothing. I keep telling myself to relax, but I've waited so long for this, i just want everything to be ok. Thanks for letting me vent
