disability question
ok, I am a real idiot in these matters, since I am now working at a real job for the first time. anyhow, OB will put me out for six weeks. I would like to give in paperwork already, since it takes 3-4 weeks to process
If I put from my due date, then I have baby earlier, how does that affect anything? I will be out for more than 6 weeks - about 8, the rest unpaid. so basically - does it matter if I take the unpaid at the end, or in the beginning?
can someone just give into a quick rundown?
also - I think HR told me the first week is unpaid, so only paid for 6 weeks - does this make sense?

You should ask HR. My job says that they would just change the date if the baby comes earlier.
