If I ever were to move to LI
I'd move to the North Shore. as close to the water as possible.
I like it up there.
I like the hills. the trees.
I love Port Washington, Sands Point and all those places.
I hear it's crazy money.
But if I am going to plunk down serious coinage, it's going to be what I want, where i want it.

One of the partners at my husband's law firm lives in Sands Point. The views from the house were incredible.

It's gorgeous in Sands Point. I don't live there of course, but I am on the north shore and I love being 1 minute from the water, the trees, the hills (although they kick my arse when I try and walk the stroller or ride the bike on them!).

I love the North Shore... but I am such a South Shore girl.
When we bought our house I only entertained thoughts of the South Shore. I wanted to be spitting distance from Fire Island and the ocean.
I don't like the rocky coast line up north.
I love my little town of Sayville

I have to agree, I love the houses on the north shore, but the location of the south shore. I love Fire Island.

I am a North Shore girl.
I am not terribly cool and I am not rich.
My sister and I used to laugh at that line b/c we grew up and went to school on the North Shore (Miller Place) but spent every summer since 4 and 2 on the South Shore (Montauk).
Yeah, we are weird like that.

my BILs mom has a "house" (more like a small village ) in Sands point, and it really is such a GORGEOUS area!!! But, it's so inconvinient (though, i guess that's what lures the people there that live there- the seclusion).
oh, and the Bluff scares me, but the view is amazing.

Exactly! And, i was about to complain about if you had to run to get something fromthe store.. but i suppose you can just send the 'help' to take care of that
