Breastfeeding and Registering

Sorry for two BF posts! For those of you who plan on breastfeeding, what did you register for? What kind of pumps and other gadgets? I haven't the slightest idea about any of this! I plan on registering in a few weeks and want to do some research. Thanks!

Re: Breastfeeding and Registering

Check if you insurance would cover a pump before you register for one.

Some things you should add to your registry:
Boppy Pillow and extra cover
My Breast Friend nursing pillow
Nursing Stool if you are short

Other things you'll want to have, but probably not register for:
Lansinoh Cream
Disposable Nursing Pads (I liked Lansinoh brand)
Nursing bras/tanks

Re: Breastfeeding and Registering

just an fyi. BRU in Commack is offering a free class on breastfeeding. I'm sure you can get all you questions answered at the classe.

It's on July 5th I believe at 6:30. I would check it out if you can.

Re: Breastfeeding and Registering

I would like to try to breatfeeed, I know it may not be the easiest task.

I was goingto register for a pump but learned even if the box is sealed ONCE you walk out of the store with the pump it cannnot be returned.

Just thought I would share that- the staff @BBB told me.

As far as the pump goes I will buy it after DS is here.

Thanks for the info ont he other iutems though, this is all so new to me

Re: Breastfeeding and Registering

I was told to wait until after the baby was born to get any kind of pumps and so forth. Plus I thought it was a little personal to register for. JMO.

Just FYI, this is not true...at BRU, as long as the pump is not OPENED, you can return it. Chat Icon
