Funny-ish story that I left out of my birth story....
I thought everyone on here might like a good laugh...
Winthrop hospital has one of the WORST parking lots for emergency. It is usually overcrowded and cars are double parked everywhere. When I went to deliver DS, I thought I was only going to be monitored even though I was having contractions. So my mom (who was with me at my Drs appointment) was driving since I was on total rest. She pulls up to the security booth & tells them I am here for L & D. The say OK go into the lot & park. OK np. She pulls up to the gate & it is broken. So the guy has to run over (and by run I mean he took his sweet a$$ time....) and do something to make the gate go up. He finally gets it up (ha!) and we go into the lot. He tells her where to park & my mom starts to panic. She is like "There is no way my car will fit into that spot." (She is not a very confident driver to begin with & now everyone is watching her). I told her she had plenty of room & that she could do it. She freaks more & begins to get really upset. I tell her to get out of the car & let me park. I drive a large Pick-up, so I am pretty good at fitting a large car into a small spot. So she gets out & is standing at the back of the spot while I take her car (a Crown Victoria) and back-park it with one hand into the spot. My mom apologizes, the security guards clap, and I go into labor!
So I had to park the car for my mom before I delivered my DS

that is so great! Sounds just like my mom - big boat car and all! We used to have to park in the back of parking lots as kids, because she would freak out about parking. I can imagine in a L&D situation! Your mom is too cute!
