need help w/ bday gift for DH
DH's bday is tomorrow and we are closing on our house... so it will be a crazy spending money day, and I know I am so bad I haven't gotten him anything yet.... but what can I get that doesn't cost a lot?
He wants all these tools for the house, but is it kinda corny to get him that?

First off Congrats on the closing of your house  
I don't think it is cheesy to get him a tool for the house. Since you said there is a lot of work to be done, why not get him a toolbox filled with some basic things like hammer, screwdriver set & plyers....They will come in handy when you first move in...

why would that be corny, guys love tools and if he needs them, why not
I actually got Dh a tool for his Birthday which is next Saturday

I would definitely get the tools....if you don't know exactly which ones to get, get a GC to Home Depot.

I dont know how much you want tp spend.
When we closed on own house I got my DH the dvd of the movie "The money pit"  it was pretty funny.
You can get some tools or maybe a good shop vac, I know we use ours all the time.
Not sure if you house needs a lot of work but maybe make up a garbage pail of stuff you will need all the time like drop clothes, work gloves, duct tape, masking tape, electrical tape, paint brushes, random tools, etc.
Or lawn stuff like rakes and all that jazz.
I know we needed EVERYTHING when he bought our house and it adds up fast.

I've been in our house over 11 years, and I still ask for/get tools for b-days and christmas. I usually give out UPC codes/model numbers for the tools I want, since I'm particular about what I want. Otherwise, HD, Lowes or Sears GC are great.

Definitely get him a tool or something that he wants.
We closed at the end of March and DH gets all excited about lawn mowers, edgers, blowers, saws and all sorts of tools now!!!

My DH's birthday is today and I gave him a weed whacker!  He also got a couple of "toys" for the BBQ, a case for the portable DVD player I gave him for Valentine's Day and the obligatory "annual" Yankees shirt.
