Re: Spinoff to Misconceptions: Age

For my, I think it is because I look younger. A lot of people tell me that I look about 25-26, and I'm 31.

Re: Spinoff to Misconceptions: Age

My own personal note on this. I have always looked younger than my age. However, I have gained weight over the past few years and that definitely affects how I look. People don't mistake me for early 20's anymore and I think that has a lot to do with my weight. I still have my baby face, it is just rounder now. Chat Icon

ETA: I am 31 YO.

Re: Spinoff to Misconceptions: Age

for me, the way I look. I have a round face with chubby cheeks and I guess this makes me look young or so I'm told.

Re: Spinoff to Misconceptions: Age

If I am made up I probably look about 28-29(I am 32 almost 33)

Ponytail, no make up and sweats I get ID'd for cigs so I guess I look younger than 18?

Re: Spinoff to Misconceptions: Age

All my kids at school tell me I'm 30... and I'm 24.

I always felt i've looked older than I am... which was great when I was like 14... but i kind of want to just look 24 now...

The way I look. No one believes my 16 year old is my son. They always think or thought my mom was his mother. And..they most certainly don't believe my age when I tell them.

Re: Spinoff to Misconceptions: Age

People assume I am younger, due to how I look, not how I act.
I am usually happy, and act goofy at times, but most people think I am very mature, even when I was younger.

I get carded for lottery tickets and alcohol. I also always get that look of shock when I tell them I am married. They always tell me I am too young.

I used to get that I was 18, about two years ago. Now I think I am up to about 22-23, depending on the person. I am 27. I used to hate when people thought I was younger then I was, and people always said I would appreciate it when I was older. They where 100% correct!!

Re: Spinoff to Misconceptions: Age

I have always looked my age. When speaking in regard to family, I am and will always be the baby (youngest) and as a result, I am treated as if I know a lot less than everyone else.

Re: Spinoff to Misconceptions: Age

I think it's a combo of the 2. If you look young and act young, people will asume you are young.
