One more question
so I'm going to take a temporary position covering a maternity leave - they can't gurantee me the woman won't come back, but it is highly likely it will become permanent. B/c there is that chance it won't though I still think I should interview during my three months there - do I tell them up front honestly, that I may need to take a personal day or two for interviews? I mean they know that I need to cover myself in case it doesn't become permanent. Also - do I tell them when I accept the offer or once I get there?

i wouldn't tell them-- they will naturally assume that you will need to line something else up when the three months is up. No need to call to attention to it.

So just accept the job and then during the three months if interviews come up - approach them on an as needed basis?
Thanks!

honestly-- from their perspective, they are more worried aboout you getting offered a full time job so you will leave them high and dry, as opposed to interviewing to line somehting up once you are done with the three months.
