PLEASE BE CAREFUL
I put this on the family board by mistake..
Last week our car was vandalized.. The driver's side window was smashed in during that big storm we had.. To find out 2 more cars on our street and a couple more in our neighborhood had the same thing done to their cars... A ll of them were parked on the street... We live in Syosset...
Fast forward to this article tonight on 1010 wins... Looks like this is happening all over Nassau county.. Keep your cars parked in the driveway if you can...
-- Nassau County Police are investigating multiple incidents of vandalism across the county.On Sunday, April 22, during the early morning hours, 21 cars were vandalized in Levittown. Windows on these cars were smashed or otherwise broken. The cars were located on Grace Lane.Police say BB guns were used in most incidents. It was so bad, extra cops had to be called in to handle the heavy load of insurance paperwork.A similar incident occurred in Massapequa. Eighteen cars were damaged and parked on numerous streets between East Shore Drive to West Shore Drive south of Merrick Road.And yet, similiar occurances in Carle Place and Westbury. A total of 14 cars had their windows smashed sometime between 12:15 a.m. and 9 a.m. Sunday.
Cops are asking anyone with info to call Crimestoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.

Yup, I'm also in Massapequa, but not between E & W Shore Drive & when DH went out in the morning a few weeks ago, there were car windows smashed all down our block and around the corner. I was so thankful I had parked in my driveway. What bast ards!

Same thing happened to my husband's car the night of the storm and we live in Queens. They smashed his window in and stole his Sirius satelittle box. It was the old version, worth nothing. I'm still ******.

I am sorry for what happened to your car. It is just a shame that kids need to go to these lengths to destroy other's property!!!! Thank goodness we park in the driveway.

OMG my car was egged in N. Massapequa the weekend of the storm. I wonder now if it was related. I knew I should have called the cops, DH said there was no need, but maybe I should call them and report damage on my block as well.
