Interviewing internally....
Has anyone ever gone through this? I am going for a position within my company. Its not a promotion because there is no promotion opportunity for my current position...but it would DEFINITELY be a step up for me. The person who held it previously quit the other day.
So my question is - do I wear a suit??? I have to interview with one lady who I know very well and MY BOSS who is like a second father to me, knows me like a book, was at my wedding, etc.
I am thinking just a nice blazer??? Any other pointers/advice?

yes...but mine was for a promotion..
and yes i did treat it like a formal interview...
I did wear a suit

Me too. No such thing as being too polished for an interview (looks-wise, I mean). It'll show them how much you really want this job.

I always have worn a suit for interviews within. It just kind of shows that you made the extra effort.

Well congrats on the "go get 'em" attitude and good luck! 
I would probably wear the suit just to really show how much you are interested in the position. If going in a nice blazer is acceptable then any more would really make you shine!
