Not feeling the baby
My sil will be 25 weeks on friday. She felt the baby move all last week, then for the last couple of days, nothing. She went to the dr today, and the baby is fine, moving all around, and the heartbeat's great. The dr has no idea why she is not feeling the baby anymore (she is very tiny to begin with). He also told her that she is having slight contractions, but nothing to worry about. She is not feeling the contractions either. Has anyone dealt, or heard of something like this? Thanks!

Re: Not feeling the baby
I don't know, but if the doctor says everything is okay I wouldn't worry. Maybe she won't feel the labor-good for her, no pain

Re: Not feeling the baby
I did not feel contractions with my daughter until I was well near the end./ I only really feel one baby now---the other one very rarely. One is kind of laying on the placenta and is buffered--maybe that is the case with her.

Re: Not feeling the baby
My mom has said that when she was pregnant with me, she hardly ever felt me move. Once in a while she would feel movement but never on a daily basis. I guess some babies just don't move around as much. As long as her Dr said she was ok, then its fine. But I know its hard not to worry about it.

Re: Not feeling the baby
There was a girl in my lamaze class over the weekend who said her baby moves but she can't feel him move b/c her amnio is thicker than usual (she said 4 in.). I have never heard of that, but that is what her dr. told her. Did the dr. mention anything about that to your SIL?

The dr didnt mention that. I am going to call her and ask her.
I know the dr thought that it was the position of her placenta at first, but when he checked, he said that couldn't be the problem.
