Spinoff to "Dear DH"...
It's funny that you say that about DH trying to be good and do the laundry....
This is what happened (a few months ago) when my DH decided to do the laundry himself.....
Me: Did you empty out any pants pockets?
DH: Yes dear! I always check my pockets before putting them in the wash.
(fast forward: the washer & dryer are done...and I look in the dryer)
Me: Did you empty out any pants pockets?
DH: Uh oh!!
I just HAD to take these pics when it happened...  it was HILARIOUS!
He was such a sourpuss because he had to scrub out the inside of the entire dryer drum. Poor guy - he tried!!!

This happened once to us. Christopher tossed a pen into the laundry basket. It survived the wash cycle, but blew up in the dryer. It ruined a lot of good clothing.
