Mini trip
I haven’t traveled in so long and need suggestions
Looking to go possibly upstate or within 3 hour driving distance to a hotel on the lake. (Mid week)
It will be 2 adults, possibly somewhere where they have hikes, lake, golf
Etc
Any suggestions

Mini trip
Mohonk Resort in the Hudson valley. I’ve never stayed there but I believe they have all that stuff there.

Lake Placid is great, but that's more than 3 hours. Worth it though. We found the drive to be nice, and didn't feel that long (I live in Port Jeff and it was about 5.5 hours). We stay on Mirror Lake at High Peaks Resort. Lots of hiking in the area, and a pool on the lake with kayaking, paddle boarding, etc. And it's a non motorized sports lake so you don't have to worry about drunk boaters mowing your family down!
