Zodiac signs changing?
So apparently some astronomer wants to change the zodiac chart - even adding in a sign! If this changes i will no longer be an aries - but LO will. Would your sign change?

I thought  would be an Aries, but according to this she would be a Pisces like her sister. I wanted each of them to have their own sign.

LOL, this is pretty ridiculous. I would still be an Aquarius. I'm at the very tail end of Aquarius now, on the cusp of Pisces. With this, I'd be the very beginning, a day off from Capricorn. The baby would definitely be a Gemini according to this, whereas before he would definitely be a Cancer. My father is a Gemini and my sister is a Cancer, I don't know which one I'd rather have for a kid

i almost ran out of the ob office crying when i saw that LO would be a gemini. DH and I specifically didn't  around that time so we wouldn't have a gemini!!

plus it seems to be that it should only affect people moving forward, not retroactive if it's about where the stars and sun are when you're born. .

This zodiac change drove me crazy when I first heard of it and found I would no longer be a sagittarius!!! However, it does not apply towards anyone who was born before 2009, so don't worry girls!!! Still think its ridiculous though!
This does mean that my lil boy will be an aquarius and not a pisces though..

Same here. I've been a Taurus my entire life not changing it now plus I am a true Taurus in personality. I find this very annoying.

Honestly, I've had bad experiences with the Geminis I've come in contact with IN MY LIFE. It's not to say all gemini's are bad...but that I don't believe Capricorns and Geminis are very compatible and over time...the friendships can turn from fun and enjoyable to volatile in the flick of a switch. we just don't seem to get along...but it's not necessarily ALL geminis...my cousin is a gemini and i love her...but she's also cuspy and she doesn't show so much of that "two face" side that is often linked to the Gemini sign. but as for the geminis I didn't get along with when things got bad they got REALLY BAD. It's happened with enough of them that I tend to believe that astrologically we are just not meant to be a good match. Therefore I wouldnt want my LO to be a Gemini for fear as LO grows into a young adult we would would be at each others throats.
But again astrologically speaking, Gemini is not always black and white...there are other factors that can help map the character traits of an individual within that sign. Such as positioning of the sun in alignment with the stars on the birthdate of said Gemini (ie: Gemini's born close to Cancer or Taurus signs may tend to have a blending of the 2 signs characteristics)

but IMO if you were fertile enough to not to not get a gemini, consider yourself really lucky. it took me 18 months to conceive and i honestly wouldnt care if my  had some kind of weird devil astrological sign. it wouldnt matter in the least!!
and BTW, im not even kidding, my husband is a capricorn and we are prob the most compatible couple that we know.. and weve been together 11 years so far!!
finally for the rest of you - YOUR sign doesnt change. babies born after 2009 have the new shifted signs. if you were born prior to 2009 (which im assuming we all were :LOL: ) than your sign is the same as whatever it was when you were born.. before they all shifted.
im not at all trying to  just giving a different perspective and experience!!
eta - i just realized my baby will be a gemini too! im so psyched! maybe thats why i was predicted by a psychic to have twins (well besides the fact that i originally got pregnant with 2  )

lol @ both of my twin signs. Thats awesome that u and hubby get along so well...come to think of it though...I don't know of any male geminis that i don't get along with. hmmmm Me and DH have been together 11 years too but we are BOTH capricorns
ETA: and yes I do consider myself lucky to have the luxury of skipping a cycle of TTC just to not get a certain zodiac sign...and while it does sound crazy...i just spoke to someone yesterday who thought the same way.Sometimes You can't help how your brain reacts to bad experiences...not like I hate anyone who is a gemini...I just hoped to avoid even an inkling of a chance that me and my first child would have anything close to as volatile a relationship as i had with said people...however silly or insignificant of a factor that may seem

it won't change your baby's sign either if you still believe in the same tropical zodiac you always went by before...there have ALWAYS been 2 versions of the zodiac...if you didn't go by sidereal Zodiac before then why switch now?
