you're next
had a rough day today... just needed to vent a little. DH and I had to go to a family christening today and the comments/questions were just too much for me. I don't post here often, but we started trying last August/September and this was my first cycle on Clomid - needless to say, things have not been going well and it was not easy getting through today - not that anyone knows about what we've been going through but that didn't really make it any easier to listen to. I would love to be next... just not entirely sure that's in the cards for us yet.

I agree that people mean well but sometimes they do not realize that it is a very touchy subject especially if you do not actively bring up the topic.
Try not to let these types of things bring you down, soon enough you will have very good news for the same audience and you will be happy to discuss it that point.
In the meantime, if people bring it up, you should try to excuse yourself from the conversation. I think that is healthier for you then sitting through the conversation.

thanks ladies. believe me, I tried very hard to stay away from these conversations and often walked away - they still found me. some people are just relentless, well meaning though they may be.

ITA!!
Having family over for Easter was hard especially when our very good friends called to announce there were 2 months pregnant! All DH and I heard after that was "Your next" or "When are you giving me my grandchild?"
